Teaching Lessons, Touching Lives, Leaving Legacies.

If you have not heard by now, Copeland Elementary School maintained its "recognized" campus rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA). I am extremely proud of our faculty and staff for this accomplishment. Our campus earned this wonderful rating through dedication, determination, leadership, communication, meticulous planning, and, most importantly, team work. It is obvious that the faculty and staff puts our children first as they strived to meet the goals of the last school year. High goals, standards, and expectations will continue to be set for all stakeholders at Copeland Elementary—students, parents, faculty, and staff. Together, we can and will continue to make a positive difference in the lives of our entrusted students. Each student enrolled at Copeland Elementary School is special and has something unique to offer this school. Our faculty will work very hard to bring forth these special gifts as our students progress through their various stages of education. If you see one of our faculty or staff members outside the school setting, please thank him or her for their hard work and dedication to excellence. Each member of our staff is equally important as we rely on one another to educate the whole child.

On behalf of the faculty and staff at Copeland Elementary, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your child's education. Be assured that we have your child's best interest at heart. We will continue to make decisions based on what is best for our students. Thank you for the support you have given us in the past, and we welcome your support this year. We look forward to an outstanding 2011–2012 school year and encourage you to contact us at (210) 599-2473 or log on to our website at www.excellence-sa.org should you have any questions, concerns, or comments you want to share with us. We will continue to "Prepare Children Today for Tomorrow's Challenges." The bar has been raised and we will strive each day to reach these new heights. Best wishes to you and your child(ren) for another great school year.

Respectfully,

Gilbert Olivarri, Principal
